Interaction of Zn2+ with Fe(TPA)Cl3 can trigger ET from amine to iron(III) generating a substrate radical which traps dioxygen to produce alkylperoxyl, thus initiating catalytic oxidation, resembling lipoxygenase-like dioxygen activation.
