ここで、ΔGPT、ΔGCPET、BDECuOO-H (in DMSO)、BDFEArO-H (Me) (in THF)はそれぞれ以下の式で表せる。
ΔGCPET = BDFEArO-H (Me) - BDECuOO-H

ここで、BDFEArO-H (Me) = 87.1 kcal/mol (ref 1)、CH = 66 kcal/mol (THF中での定数) (ref 2)、E1/2 (CuOOH) = -0.215 V (vs Fc+/Fc) (上で見積もった)、 pKa(ArO-H (Me)) = 19.1 (in DMSO) (ref 1)、R: 気体定数、T: 絶対温度 (213 K)より、

近似よりeq4 = eq5なので、
pKa(CuOO-H) = ~19 (in THF)

BDECuOO-H  = ~87 kcal/mol

This ReV(O) porphyrinoid complex shows an exclusively ligand-based reactivity with strong acids and oxidizing agents. The one-electron oxidized π-radical-cation complex is capable of H-atom abstraction.
